Your Role

You will be a part of our first wave of technical hires, working closely with your team and the founding team to design and implement our software infrastructure. You'll take ownership of designing and implementing the cloud architectures and backend infrastructure that form the backbone of Aiving's innovative platform. You'll work with a dynamic and passionate team, playing a key role in scaling our technology to support real-time data from wearable devices and delivering high-performance, reliable systems that both support our customers and our data science team.

  • Architect the Future: Design and implement scalable cloud-based architectures, primarily using AWS, with opportunities to introduce other platforms like Google Cloud or Azure as needed.
  • Database Mastery: Take the lead in designing, setting up, and optimizing Aiving's databases to ensure high performance and seamless data flow to both our customers and our data science team, as we move from initial setup to full-scale operation.
  • Backend Engineering: Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that support our platform as we grow and evolve.

What You'll Bring

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in computer science or software engineering or comparable industry experience
  • Strong experience in cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS.
  • Knowledge of database design and implementation, with a willingness to take the lead in setting up both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Expertise in backend development frameworks, particularly Python, and experience building and scaling APIs and microservices.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

Your Role

You'll be at the forefront of creating the interface athletes and coaches rely on to improve their training.   • Mobile App Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android, ensuring seamless connectivity with wearable devices such as sensors to deliver real-time data insights.

Your Role

As our UX/UI Designer, you'll be responsible for designing user interfaces that bring performance data to life. As our Junior Data Scientist, you'll be at the heart of this transformation—and you'll get to work with our data and our IP to create your own algorithms, from data analysis to a real-time solution.

Your Role

We are looking for an ambitious, innovative and analytically sharp Data Scientist Junior to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with the founder to develop algorithms that for automatic detection of various sports movements and measurements of key metrics associated to those movements. You'll play a key role in developing and implementing algorithms that will increase the insights we can bring to athletes and expand the scope of which athletes we can serve.

  • Algorithm Development: Work with our teams to design, modify, optimize and test algorithms to detect new movements and measure with high accuracy new metrics associated to those movements from IMU data.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze wearable device data to support algorithm development.
  • Algorithm Implementation: Implement your algorithms to build real-time prototypes of your algorithms using our existing frameworks.
  • Data Collection: Work with our existing data and collect new data from our partner athletes when necessary.
  • Visualization: Create user-friendly data visualizations to help athletes and coaches understand performance metrics and trends.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers, app developers, and UX/UI designers to integrate your models into our wearable device applications.
